Insurance and claims
The process is exactly the same for every client. Whether your move is covered by IVAC or CNESST, or paid directly, the insurance coverage, reporting deadlines, claim threshold and deductible are identical. There is no difference.
Coverage
Transport et Déménagement PMG inc. carries $2,000,000 in liability insurance covering your belongings during handling and transport. We are also a certified IVAC provider (no. 1006111235) and a verified CCMM member.
Reporting damage
- Immediately upon delivery — before our team leaves your location.
- Within 24 hours — for items discovered damaged after unpacking.
- With photographic evidence — clear photos of the damage.
Threshold and deductible
- Claims over $300 CAD are forwarded to our insurance provider for assessment.
- A $200 CAD deductible applies to claims forwarded to the insurer.
Claims process
- Report — contact us within 24 hours at 514-831-1764.
- Document — provide photos and a description of the damage.
- Deductible — the $200 deductible applies before the insurer processes the claim.
- Referral — we forward the claim to our insurance provider.
- Assessment — the insurance adjuster evaluates the claim and determines compensation.

How long does the process take?

I don't have my IVAC authorization yet — can you still help?
